Dashful for Google Sheets
Dashboards from your spreadsheet, inside Google Sheets
The Dashful add-on sends the tabs you pick to Dashful, shows their dashboard in a sidebar, keeps it in sync, and puts Dashful's numbers back into cells. It is coming to the Google Workspace Marketplace.

- Coming to the Google Workspace Marketplace
Availability
Not in the Marketplace yet
Google verifies an add-on and reviews its listing before it appears in the Google Workspace Marketplace. Until Dashful is listed there, it can't be installed.
Google Workspace Marketplace
Coming soonOnce Dashful is listed, open a spreadsheet, choose Extensions → Add-ons → Get add-ons, search for Dashful and install it. Then open it with Extensions → Dashful → Open Dashful.
Tell me when it's listedFor Google Workspace admins
Once it's listed:
- 1In the Google Admin console, go to Apps → Google Workspace Marketplace apps → Apps list.
- 2Choose Install app, find Dashful, then Admin install.
- 3Review and accept its permissions for your users, then choose everyone, or certain groups or organizational units.
- 4Google says it can take up to a day to reach everyone.
Each person signs in to Dashful with their own account, so invite them to your Dashful workspace first.
Admin install stepsUntil then
- Download a tab as Excel or CSV (File → Download) and upload it to Dashful.
- Or connect Google Drive in Dashful and pick the spreadsheet. Dashful reads it again on the schedule you set.
- Working in Excel too? Dashful for Excel can be installed today.
How it works
From spreadsheet to dashboard in five steps
Everything happens in a sidebar, next to the tabs the numbers come from.
01 · Pick tabs
Pick the tabs Dashful should read
Tick tabs, or the whole spreadsheet, and say what you want to see. Each tab shows the columns Dashful found. Only values are sent, never formulas, and a tab's contents are sent only when you choose Send to Dashful.
02 · Approve the dataset
Approve the dataset once
Dashful's AI proposes how the tabs join, with each join's match rate, the measures, and a reconciliation check per tab. Nothing loads until you approve it.
03 · Dashboard in the sidebar
Read the dashboard next to the numbers
On plans that include AI dashboard building, build a dashboard from a prompt and read it in the sidebar, or choose Open large for a bigger window. On plans with the simulator, move a slider to see what would change. Nothing is saved.
04 · Stays in sync
Edit the tab, the dashboard follows
Turn on Keep this spreadsheet in sync, and a changed tab is sent about 30 seconds after the last edit while the sidebar is open, and within the hour while it's closed. Sync now sends at once.
05 · =DASHFUL_ formulas
Dashful's numbers, back in your cells
=DASHFUL_MEASURE returns one measure for a period and filters. =DASHFUL_TABLE fills in a dashboard tile's rows. Or insert a tile as a new tab and refresh it later.
Good to know
What to expect
Google decides some of how an add-on works. These are the limits as they stand.
Sync timing
About 30 seconds after an edit while the sidebar is open. With it closed, Google lets an add-on run a timed check at most once an hour, so changes arrive within the hour.
Only the open spreadsheet
The add-on can read only the spreadsheet it's open in, never the rest of your Drive. For tabs in another spreadsheet, open it and send them from there.
One Google account at a time
Google's add-on runtime doesn't support several Google accounts signed in to one browser. Use a browser profile per account.
A narrow sidebar
Google fixes the sidebar's width, so a dashboard's tiles stack in one column. Open large shows the same dashboard in a bigger window.
Desktop browsers only
Google Sheets add-ons don't run in the Sheets mobile apps.
Formulas are shared
With formulas on, anyone who can edit the spreadsheet can use them to read the Dashful numbers of the person who turned them on.
Formulas
Dashful's numbers, in your cells
Two custom functions, computed by Dashful in the project you choose when you turn formulas on. Answers are kept for a minute.
=DASHFUL_MEASURE(measure, [period], [filters], [dataset], [refresh])Returns one number.
Example
=DASHFUL_MEASURE("Revenue", "2026-09")- Period: leave it blank for the latest month with data, or use all, 2026, 2026-Q3, 2026-09, a date, or two of those joined by "..".
- Filters: text like "Region=West; Channel!=Online", or a range of rows.
=DASHFUL_TABLE(dashboard, tile, [refresh])Fills a dashboard tile's rows into the sheet, up to 1,000 rows.
Example
=DASHFUL_TABLE("Northgate service overview", 4)- Tile: its title, or its position on the dashboard (1 is the first).
- Errors show as #ERROR!, with the reason when you point at the cell.
Turning formulas on keeps a read-only Dashful token in the spreadsheet. Anyone who can edit it can then use the formulas to read the Dashful numbers you can see. The token expires after 90 days, and Turn off in the sidebar, or revoking it in Dashful, stops it.
Formula referenceWhat leaves the spreadsheet
- Only the tabs you pick, as values. Formulas stay in the spreadsheet.
- A tab's contents are sent when you send it, and afterwards when sync sends it again. Sync is off until you turn it on, and you can turn it off.
- Each person signs in with their own Dashful account and sees only what their role allows.
For firms
Once Dashful is listed, a Google Workspace admin can install it for everyone, or for chosen organizational units and groups, and accept its permissions once for all of them. Each person still signs in to Dashful with their own account.
With any Dashful plan
Anyone with a Dashful account will be able to use the add-on, send tabs and approve datasets. Building a dashboard from the sidebar and the simulator need a plan that includes them, and your plan's limits on rows, AI credits and publishing apply, as they do in Dashful itself.
